How are freeze-dried sweets made?
Freeze drying removes moisture from frozen sweets under reduced pressure. Ice changes directly into water vapour in a process called sublimation. Depending on the sweet, this can create a puffed-up shape and a light, crunchy texture.
How should I store them?
Keep your sweets sealed in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and moisture. After opening, reseal the bag or use an airtight container to help preserve the crunch. Follow the storage instructions and best-before date on your pack.
